Throwing on the wheel was a big challenge for me at first. Like most centering felt impossible and making a wheel made bowl was not happening uncentered. With practice and releasing my anger out a little i was able to find the strength from my legs and upper body and it finally centered. I made this cute little bowl that now I eat my cereal out of. Was definitely difficult but it is one of my later pieces to not as bad as from the beginning.

i really like the colors that came out. i think the way it came off the wheel was perfect. i wish we hadnt shocked it because now there is glue on it. the peace is really nice and i think it works well with all the colors. I defenitaly would have maybe made it a little thicker and put more salt on it and paper to make more color. for someone walking in make sure you add plenty of thing on it. and make sure to now what makes what color.
I really like the story i picked i have always loved dinosaurs. I love how realistic the dino arms are. I wish i put color on it and put more time into drawing the dinos. Anyone walking into this i would definitely say pick a story you really like because i found it to be so much fun to make and to make sure you know what shape you want to make and to sketch it first. and have fun and be crazy with it.
After my next fire i plan to paint over to give the colors more of a pop then fire one more time. I plan for this to hold cookies and candy. painting it and physically putting the mug together was easy and went smooth with no complications, but when I was trying to carve the leaf and apples out of the side of the mug it was really hard to smooth them out and I could never really tell how deep in the clay I was so I ended up going straight through a few times.
My final question are on here. (will post it fired it will just be on the top.)_ I really like how the yellow came out and how the indents look i think it the button was also so cute. I wish i made it a little smaller because i its really heavy and wish i painted it clear glaze to. anyone walking into this project i would say make sure you know the size you want and make sure to use water when making the shape and remember that there is such thing as clear glaze. you said you took final pictures of it for me because you took it for the show and you never sent them so i am guessing i am fine so i am going to do the questions on this one. I like the color and the hearts on them i think they made it very nice and soft to the eye. I wish i didnt put the balls on it and made the whole thing purple. to anyone walking into this project all i could say is make sure you do measurements and make sure its straight and think about the design and color before hand.
i plan to fire it at this point than repaint and fire one more time. I hope it turns into a fall frame with a cozy painting in the middle. the painting part it going as planned there colors are perfect and will give it a light look while still matching fall themes. I had difficulty with an even boarder and my piece kept breaking, but it kinda look intentional so I am ok with it.
